Can you spare a few hours per month to help administer our Historic church and churchyard?
Our Treasurer Simon Newton moved out of the parish last year and so we are looking for a volunteer to take over from him as Treasurer of Dolton PCC.
The role, nowadays all done online, involves keeping a simple receipt and expenditure account on an Excel spreadsheet, being a signatory and cardholder of the PCC’s charity bank account, paying bills when necessary [3 to 5 per month] and making a short report to the bimonthly PCC meetings.
The Treasurer does not need to be professionally qualified, although some basic experience in accounting would help, and nor does he or she need to be a churchgoer.
